The trio, who were recently in the US, promoting their film, got candid about the extensive work that went into bringing the ambitious epic to life.<\/p>\n During an interview with Collider, the team discussed the progress of the film and responded to the criticism it has faced online. When asked about the completion of Part 1, director Tiwari confirmed, “We are sorted, the edit is locked. At the moment we are busy giving finishing touches to our VFX work which is a very very daunting task.”“If you see the film, you’ll realise how much hard work has gone into purely getting the VFX in place,” he added.<\/p>\n Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Lord Rama in the film, also responded to criticism of the visual effects, arguing that, “People don’t know how CGI is done. People think that someone just used some AI and released something.” He went on to highlight, “There\u2019s countless hours of work where artists have been working for years. I’ve seen Nitesh sir or Namit sitting on VFX calls ever since this project started. Trying to get even a certain colour of the sky right.““I think it is tricky right now to impress the audience with authentic CGI,” he added.<\/p>\n Producer Namit Malhotra also acknowledged that the film has faced considerable discussion and criticism online.
