Directed by Merlapaka Gandhi<\/a>, the film is a horror comedy which has been receiving positive to mixed response. During the event, the Telugu veteran spoke about the recent success of different films and said it is wrong to believe that audiences are staying at home because of OTT platforms.<\/p>\n According to a report by Cinema Express, Chiranjeevi shared that he was very happy to see Varun Tej get a success. He also said that audiences will come to theatres when films have good content.\u201cIf you look at the second half of the year, the success started with Peddi, followed by Maa Inti Bangaram, Lenin, Chennai Love Story and now Korean Kanakaraju. There are both small and big films, so it is wrong to say that audiences are not coming to theatres because they are staying at home and watching OTT,\u201d said Chiranjeevi.He added, \u201cWhen you watch a film in theatres, it gives you a different kind of enjoyment. When we come up with good content, audiences will encourage films in theatres. These films have proved that.\u201d<\/p>\n Chiranjeevi praised director Merlapaka Gandhi and called him an important reason behind the film\u2019s success.\u201cHe is the main pillar of this film. The way he brought the Korean flavour and culture into this story is definitely a good thought. That is one of the main reasons for the success of this film, and I appreciate Gandhi for it,\u201d said Chiranjeevi. Chiranjeevi further praised Gandhi for completing the film on time and within the planned budget.<\/p>\n Talking about the film, \u2018Korean Kanakaraju\u2019 was released in theatres on August 7. The film has a supernatural take when the spirit of a Korean gangster possesses Kanakaraju played by Varun Tej, whose impulsive behaviour frequently lands him in trouble.The film also features Ritika Naik and Satya in key roles.The music is composed by Thaman.According to a report by Sacnilk, the film is inches close to hit the Rs 20 crore mark in India as on Day 5, it has generated over Rs 19.42 crore as India gross collections and worldwide collection of Rs 24.02 crore.<\/div>\nChiranjeevi says audiences will come for good films<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n
